Hey guys….Shall we hold the 2018 Winter Olympics somewhere else? Somewhere perhaps a bit less closer to Nuclear War?

After a disappointing world champs, American sprinter Allyson Felix reflects.
This sport has crushed my heart and yet it brings me so much happiness. It has taught me to pick myself up when I feel hopeless. To never stop fighting. I'm so grateful that all these years later I'm still able to give my all to the sport that has given me so much. Circled by barracuda? Rather you than me Dinah Halstead!
A circle of barracuda surround diver Dinah Halstead in Papua New Guinea. The barracuda form schools during the day as a defense against predators. As dusk approached the school broke up and the barracuda began to patrol for their meal. This image is symbolic to me and how we are literally surrounded by and are one with the ocean. The oceans can survive without us but we can not survive without the oceans.// With @natgeo with @natgeocreative @thephotosociety // #ocean #papuanewguinea #coraltriangle #barracuda #dream #beauty for #moreocean follow @daviddoubilet
Sometimes you just gotta get out and smell the roses, or climb rocks – whatever floats you boat.
Photo by @jimmy_chin Fun little mission into the Sierra last week with an all time crew. Always a pleasure to get to know new friends in the mountains….especially when things get exciting. @myshellparker watches as the storm begins to brew. Half an hour later we were dashing down the descent to safety as the thunder and lightning crashed around us. No summit but if you count laughs as your measure of success, we were winning…. #goodtimes #iphone
Take your downtime where you can get it.
The view of downtown Montreal from the Belvédère Kondiaronk viewpoint on Mont Royal by @simoncroberts (part of my series of photographs of Montreal featured in this month's @natgeotravel). The mountain is the site of Mount Royal Park, one of Montreal's largest greenspaces. The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed New York's Central Park, and inaugurated in 1876, although not completed to his design. The lookout was built later, in 1906, and is named for the Huron chief who signed a major peace accord with the French regime in 1701.
