Sometimes you just gotta get out and smell the roses, or climb rocks – whatever floats you boat.

Take your downtime where you can get it.

The view of downtown Montreal from the Belvédère Kondiaronk viewpoint on Mont Royal by @simoncroberts (part of my series of photographs of Montreal featured in this month's @natgeotravel). The mountain is the site of Mount Royal Park, one of Montreal's largest greenspaces. The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed New York's Central Park, and inaugurated in 1876, although not completed to his design. The lookout was built later, in 1906, and is named for the Huron chief who signed a major peace accord with the French regime in 1701.
