Weekly Sport Social: Iranian parkour and a deathly trail

Is it just me or are parkour gyms just soft-play adult playgrounds? Whatever, it looks flippin’ awesome! Check out Farshad Biglari and pals in their fab training facility. Meanwhile, Britain takes on Canada with a dramatic snowfall and just stunning, stunning photography of an ultralight trike aircraft over the Sand Dunes National Park of Colorado. No, I’ve no idea what that is either… Welcome to this week’s Sport Social.

This is an actual thing. I checked. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

This is what counts for a snowstorm in the UK. Have some of that Canada.

Probably find Hansel and Gretel in the area too, munching on the building.

So this is a ridiculous way to play sport, non?

More from those subtle Russians.

When you use people as a slalom course!

Just chilling at the beach.

Super dooper skier Mikaela Shiffrin and her nan. Too cute.

Hope you’re having a day like this!

Sibling life.

When you couldn’t possibly be more pleased with your unexpected model.

Now I don’t like caving per se but if you’re gonna do it, you gotta do it somewhere like this. A-mazing.

Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) – Kaฤna jama (cave) is situated near Divaฤa, in Slovenia, which is located at an altitude of 435 m (1500ft). The cave is 280 m (900ft) deep and is the third longest cave in Slovenia. The iconic twin skylight portals allow cave explorers access into the cave where the Reka River can be seen again flowing steadily underground towards the coast. Ever since I first saw a picture of these majestic twin portals filtering sunlight into the cave, I dreamed of one day visiting it with my camera. Finally, a few months ago, my dream came true. Over the next few weeks, I will unravel a portfolio of photographs that was shot for @NatGeoAdventure from the famous river caves of Slovenia, birth place of speleology and home to the ‘human fish’. With my caving colleagues I visited 8 caves, each one varied and different with its own personality. For more from this amazing story, please follow the link in the bio of @shonephoto. Awesome moves from one of the world’s best surfers and almost-shark-biscuit.

I just asked if you’d close the garage door…

Doesn’t matter if you’re a former Manchester United footballer and Champions League winner โ€“ you’re still an embarrassing dad in the real world!

This. Just this. Look away now if you’re afraid of heights.

Stunning pic, this. Stunning.

You may be a World Cup-winning cricketer but you still need help from your old man when it comes to decorating the Christmas tree.

Never too old…. Cheers Dad ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽ„

I’m surprised Usain Bolt hasn’t had a statue in his home country Jamaica until now!

Thank you Jamaica. Truly humbled. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Climbing Yosemite’s finest, El Capitan. Hey you, the one who’s afraid of heights. Best turn away again here.
